‘For sure’: Manager admits he could let £50m player join Crystal Palace or West Ham

Thomas Tuchel has been speaking ahead of the Premier League finale, where Crystal Palace and West Ham target Conor Gallagher was mentioned.

What’s the story?

Well, the Chelsea boss was asked what the future holds for Gallagher and Armando Broja, who have both shone on loan deals away from west London.

As quoted by the Evening Standard, Tuchel said: “I want to have them in pre-season and we will decide in pre-season what goes on. It is heavily up to them and how they do.”

Now, that is quite promising for Patrick Vieira and David Moyes.

Tuchel doesn’t exactly say that he wants to sell both Gallagher and Broja immediately, although he does leave the door open to an exit by suggesting it is down to them to perform.

If they both fail to impress the German in pre-season, then exits certainly seem likely on the basis of Tuchel’s comments.

So far this season, Gallagher – who Chelsea value at £50m – has scored eight goals in 32 Premier League appearances, which earned him the Player of the Season award at Selhurst Park.

In Broja’s case, the 20-year-old has scored six goals in 32 Premier League appearances on loan at Southampton, earning rave reviews in the process.

Forget Crystal Palace, West Ham need Armando Broja

In our view, Crystal Palace can live without Gallagher.

Since the start of 2022, the 22-year-old has started to fizzle out, while Eberechi Eze has begun to rediscover his best form.

However, West Ham must ensure they bring Broja to the London Stadium, as David Moyes desperately needs another striker.

The Eagles and the Hammers both want Gallagher, but West Ham have also expressed an interest in the Albanian wonderkid.

In fact, Moyes and the West Ham players are even said to have been left dazzled by Broja’s efforts on loan at Southampton.

Michail Antonio is shouldering the burden up front, and given the fact he is quite injury prone, another option should be targeted.

Keep an eye on Chelsea during pre-season, as the performances of Gallagher and Broja could prove significant to Crystal Palace and West Ham.

West Ham United plotting £20 million Emmanuel Dennis swoop

Premier League side West Ham United are reportedly plotting a £20 million move for Watford striker Emmanuel Dennis.

Daily Mirror report that West Ham United are interested in Watford forward Emmanuel Dennis and are planning a summer move for him. The Hammers are prepared to back manager David Moyes in the upcoming transfer window to continue challenging for European spots in the Premier League.

Signing a striker is one of their priorities and Dennis has thus emerged as an option over a possible £20 million move. West Ham have a big advantage in their pursuit of the Nigerian international as Watford have been relegated to the Championship and the striker is keen to continue in the Premier League.

The 24-year-old joined the Hornets in a £3 million move last summer from Club Brugge and has been their top-scorer with ten Premier League goals. Dennis has also provided six assists, and it comes as no surprise that the centre-forward is attracting interest from other clubs.

Dennis will also be forced to take a pay cut with the club’s relegation from the Premier Leageu, as per a clause in his deal, the aforementioned report states. Moreover, Watford, too, could be tempted to cash in on the centre-forward, who still has four years left on his contract, with potential suitors like West Ham lining up.

Dennis is reportedly valued at over £20million, with the Hornets expected to push for even more as they need to pay a sell-on fee to Brugge. Newcastle United are also said to be showing interest in Dennis, but West Ham will offer the forward European football, which the Magpies cannot.

The Hammers’ board is ready to back Moyes with funds in the transfer market. West Ham reportedly want to sign a striker, two central midfielders and a winger or more this summer. West Ham have been linked with the likes of Southampton captain James Ward-Prowse and Lille striker Jonathan David.

Some players could be sold as well, with Nikola Vlasic, who only joined last year, ‘set to be offloaded’. Midfielder Declan Rice has also been linked with multiple Premier League clubs, with Manchester United and Chelsea reportedly favourites for his signature. These sales could leave West Ham with a sizeable transfer budget to splurge in the upcoming window.

West Ham United Among Several Clubs Hoping To Recruit This Gifted Winger: Decent Fit For Moyes?

In a recent report, Calciomercato mentioned that West Ham United are among several clubs hoping to recruit VfL Wolfsburg winger Josip Brekalo who is currently playing on loan at Torino. It is understood that the Hammers could face competition in the form of Atletico Madrid, Eintracht Frankfurt, Southampton, Atalanta and Napoli in pursuit of the Croat wing wizard.
Brekalo’s Impressive Loan Spell At Turin

Brekalo is experiencing a decent campaign in Italian football after putting in some eye-catching displays on the left side of Torino’s attack. The 23-year-old has registered eight goals and three assists in 34 matches for the Italian outfit this season across all fronts.

The Zagreb-born talent has given a good account of himself by averaging 1.4 shots, 2.0 key passes, 1.2 crosses and 1.3 dribbles per 90 minutes in Serie A. He has even been tidy with his ball distribution after making 77.9% of his attempted passes in top-flight football (stats via whoscored).

Is Brekalo A Decent Fit For West Ham United Boss David Moyes?

Brekalo is having a bright loan spell in Italy where he has proven his worth as a decent dribbler with the ball. He can whip in some inviting crosses into the opponent’s penalty box and can engineer a few meaningful chances for his teammates in the final third. Brekalo is versatile enough to play in any position across the frontline.

Furthermore, the Croatia international has contributed by scoring his fair share of goals up top. Hence, he could be a good fit for a club like West Ham if David Moyes can find a way to win the race for the player.

We can expect Brekalo to inject more quality to the Hammers‘ frontline and offer some healthy competition for Jarrod Bowen, Said Benrahma and Pablo Fornals at the London Stadium in the coming seasons.

At 23, Brekalo has got a promising future ahead of him and could help the East London outfit push for a top-four finish in the Premier League. Thus, Moyes would be wise to try everything in his power to bring the talented winger to the English capital during this summer transfer period.

West Ham want MLS ace

West Ham want to sign Valentin Castellanos from New York City FC this summer, according to a new report.

Marca claims that there are a number of clubs eyeing a potential swoop to sign the 23-year-old striker.

Castellanos has been with New York since 2019 and has scored 53 goals for the club, in 125 games. In 2022, he has scored seven goals in 10 MLS games.

The Hammers are said to be eyeing a potential swoop as boss David Moyes looks to provide support to Mikey Antonio up front.

However, there is some serious competition for a deal to be done.

River Plate are also interested in doing a deal, having sold Julian Alvarez to Manchester City, and there is also interest from Brazilian club Palmeiras.

He would cost around £12m, which is a figure that is well within the Irons’ budget, but it remains to be seen if they can beat off the competition.
